The top Polish “learning cities”
Polish Robert Schuman Foundation published the report dedicated to the “learning cities” in Poland. Learning cities are hubs of science that generate new ideas and at the same time offer friendly environment for the inflow of knowledge that impacts on the country’s economic growth.

Warsaw is the number one in the Schuman’s report. The second and a real rising star of innovation is Rzeszów. It is said to be a new capital city of new technologies in Poland, as this city has created and consequently implements a strategy based on new technology development. Rzeszów is also the second European city - after Lisbon - with the biggest demand for IT programmers. The case of Rzeszów shows that the city doesn’t have to be a big metropolis located in central or western Poland to become a leader, argue Schuman’s experts.

The Big Five also consists of Poznań, Kraków and Opole.

Report is available on: www.schuman.pl/pl/europolis - Polish version only.
