The Warmia and Mazury Special Economic Zone is located in the north-eastern part of Poland, on the Vistula estuary, in the immediate vicinity of the eastern border of the European Union (it borders the Russian Kaliningrad District from the north), with a total area of approximately 33,525.5 km² (3,352,570 ha). The zone’s area includes two sub-areas: the Warmińsko-Mazurskie sub-area: almost the entire area of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship (19 out of 21 Poviats and cities with Poviat rights) and the Mazowieckie sub-area: the northern part of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (11 out of 42 Poviats and cities with Poviat rights).
