Public aid

Katowice Special Economic Zone is the right choice for those companies, which are willing to use the public aid in the form of the tax relief, calculated on the basis of the investment cost or new job creation.

The tax relief granted within the Katowice SEZ is compliant with the regulations being in force in the similar institutions operating in the European Union countries.

The income tax relief for companies investing within the Katowice SEZ can be based on:

  • investment costs:
    • The total amount of tax relief for large enterprises is up to 25% (35% in the Opolskie and Małopolskie Voivodeships)  of investment costs.
    • Medium and small-sized enterprises are granted additional 10% and 20%, respectively.

  • or creation of new jobs:
    • The total amount of tax relief for large enterprises is up to 25% (35% in the Opolskie and Małopolskie Voivodeships) of two-year labour costs for new jobs created.
    • Medium and Small-sized enterprises are granted additional 10% and 20%, respectively.


The most important  awards:

According to ranking created by Gdańsk Institute for Market Economics for years 2005-2018, the Silesian Voivodeship, where Katowice SSE operates, is the most attractive region in Poland for investors.

Moreover, Business Financial Times ranking highly assessed the performance of the Katowice Special Economic Zone. In 2015, 2016 and 2017, KSEZ was recognised as the best free zone in Europe.
