The Katowice Special Economic Zone was established in 1996. It covers investment areas located in the Silesian and Opole Voivodeships (6 districts). The SEZ has a wide selection of investment plots, production facilities, warehouses and office space and provides consultancy in the area of public aid.

Advantages and successes of the Katowice SEZ:
  • CIT/PIT tax reliefs (from 30% up to 60% of investment value),
  • strategic location in the south of Poland, near the A4 motorway (connection with Germany and Ukraine) and A1 (connection with the Czech Republic),
  • 2.1 million inhabitants in the Silesian Agglomeration and 8.5 million people living within a radius of approx. 100 km of Katowice,
  • the 3rd largest educational centre in Poland (31 higher education institutions, 225 technical secondary schools, and 207 vocational schools),

  • The second best zone in the world in 2019 according to the rankings by the Financial Times.
