Polish food products conquering Bangkok

Thailand is betting on Poland. Polish food products have gained permanent exhibition space in one of the key supply points for the HoReCa industry in Bangkok. Thanks to the support of the Thai branch of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, a Polish pavilion has started operating in the newly opened Phenix Food Wholesale Hub, where it will be possible to buy, among other things, sweets, drinks and preserves from Polish.
Phenix Food Wholesale Hub

The Phenix Hub is a recently launched one-stop-shop for Thailand's HoReCa industry. The centre was created by one of Thailand's largest hotel and restaurant management companies - Asset World Corporation and is focused on local products. However, selected countries, including Poland, were also invited to participate in the project.

Thailand is the second largest economy in ASEAN and a country with a large tourist interest with an absorptive market with high standard requirements. It is also the second largest market for Polish exporters in this region. The invitation to this project was therefore, a real distinction. Confirmation that Thailand recognizes the very high potential of the Polish food industry, and the diversity and high quality of our products are appreciated on the Thai market - says Norbert Bąk, head of PAIH's Foreign Trade Office in Bangkok.

However, it was not only the reputation of the products from Poland that determined the creation of the Polish pavilion. The implementation of the permanent exhibition in the Phenix Hub would not have been possible without the constant cooperation of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office (FTO) in Bangkok with Asset World Corporation.

It was at the request of PAIH’s FTO in Bangkok that numerous food companies, among them, Wedel, Maspex, Bogutti, Bromex, Jaworski, Alcorythm, Feel Fit, Gran-Pik, Lipco Foods and Antonius Caviar, got involved in the project of the Polish pavilion. The companies sent so many product samples that Asset World Corporation decided to award Poland one of the largest pavilions. Thanks to the commitment of Polish entrepreneurs and PAIH’s experts, our domestic companies will be able to promote their products in Bangkok until the end of the year. In the Phenix center, you can already find Tymbark’s drinks and Łowicz jams. However, the project is open to new companies, so there will certainly be many more products from Poland in the future.

Many Polish manufacturers are wondering what specific products to export to Thailand. Our experience and market knowledge show that the greatest potential on the Thai market is primarily held by Polish sweets and healthy snacks, powdered milk, cheese and yoghurt, as well as fruit such as apples. Thailand is a really attractive export market, so we hope that we will be able to convince even more companies to co-create the Polish pavilion in Bangkok with us - adds Norbert Bąk.
