The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Polish Chamber of the Marine Industry and Water Sports - Polish Yachts (POLBOAT) report that about 25 thousand yachts and boats leave Polish shipyards annually. This scale of production puts Poland in the position of the European leader and gives it second place in the world in the category of motor yachts with a hull length of up to 12 meters. Polish manufacturers are also present in the category of the most prestigious yachts - the so-called Superyachts. These units reach 44 meters in length (one and a half basketball pitches) and are becoming a popular choice for royalty and world-class sportsmen.

The Polish yacht industry has been developing for years and is doing very well, constantly increasing its potential and expanding the scope of its activities. Currently, the maritime industry is considered to be one of the most important, most innovative and most dynamically developing branches of the Polish economy. Thanks to a wise policy of reinvesting most of the revenues from the last two decades, our shipyards are among the most modern in Europe. Every year, the high quality of yachts manufactured in Poland brings them numerous prestigious awards and even more nominations in competitions organized around the world. At the upcoming Boot Dusseldorf fair, you will be able to see, among other things, luxury Galeon motor yachts and Park Poland er motor boats, i.e. products from Polish shipyards, which won the European Powerboat of the Year awards a few years ago, treated as Oscars in the yacht industry, as well as sailing and motor units from the Northman shipyard, which was nominated for this award last year, as well as the Dracan 42 catamaran, nominated this year - says Michał Bąk, Chairman the of the Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports - Polish Yachts.

The Polish yachting industry has for years been continuously strengthening its position on global markets and Polish yachts and boats are appreciated by water sports enthusiasts in all corners of the globe. This is evidenced by the level of exports - as much as 95% of Polish production goes to foreign customers. Despite good sales results, Polish manufacturers are not resting on their laurels. They are constantly improving their projects and expanding their portfolios, as well as planning to expand into new markets. This can be seen by the numerous awards they have won at international fairs.

The global success of the Polish yachting industry is due to the marriage of experience and innovation. The industry draws on Poland’s long-standing sailing tradition, enriched by a scientific approach to technology development and the implementation of the most up-to-date, sustainable solutions. The Polish yacht industry cooperates with scientific units in the field of research and development, and selected universities educate the management staff with a view to further supporting this sector. Polish manufacturers take advantage of modern possibilities not only in the area of the materials used, drive, communication or navigation, but also in the sphere of design and work culture.

However, the Polish yacht, boat and specialty vessel industry is not limited to building high-quality vessels. Polish manufacturers also specialize in the production of deck equipment and accessories. Their products are not only sold abroad, but also directed to the domestic market. And here the sales potential is equally high - it is estimated that in the summer months 15,000 vessels sail into the waters of the great Masurian lakes every day, giving pleasure to 60,000 people. These numbers prove that a passion for sailing is natural for Poles.

You will be able to get acquainted with the diverse range offered by Polish manufacturers operating in the boat and yacht sector during the Boot Düsseldorf fair, visiting the exhibition stands of Polish companies, or by coming to the Polish National Stand, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency as part of the project "Internationalization of SMEs - Brand HUB" (Hall No. 1, stand 1A66).

We deeply believe that the Boot Düsseldorf fair will be fruitful for Polish entrepreneurs, and the year 2025 will be a good one for the Polish yacht industry and the entire yacht industry in the world. We are glad that through the implementation of activities under the Brand HUB project, we, as the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, can contribute to the development of the Polish yacht, boat and specialised vessel sector and, more broadly, to the promotion of the Polish Economy Brand - says Małgorzata Kucharek, manager of the "Internationalisation of SMEs - Brand HUB" project at the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
