A successful Polish-German Economic Forum

Numerous representatives of the business world, state institutions and industry organizations from Poland and Germany met as part of the second Polish-German Economic Forum. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange views and experiences and to strengthen Polish-German business relations. The Forum was organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in cooperation with the Polish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Poland) and the Ministry of Development and Technology.

As part of the all-day event, entrepreneurs, politicians, representatives of business support institutions and public administration talked about the possibilities of cooperation between our countries, especially in the area of green transformation and digitization within health care as well as cities of the future. The Forum gathered a total of over 200 participants.

Germany is not only our neighbour, but has been one of our most important economic partners for years. German customers are eager to buy Polish products, and companies choose our country as a place to invest. Together, we are active in many areas, but we do not want to rest on our laurels and thanks to today's event we can take our relations to an even higher level - said PAIH’s Chairman Andrzej Dycha during the official opening of the event.

Speeches were also given by Ignacy Niemczycki, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland, Dr. Kirsten Scholl, Director General in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany and Katarzyna Byczkowska, Chairwoman of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Poland).

Today Poland and Germany are equal economic partners, and their mutual importance has risen to a new level. It is therefore all the more important that after a break of several years we are again meeting for this important initiative, which today's forum is! Cooperation, exchange of experience and joining forces of partners from both countries can give a new impulse to development and increase the competitiveness of companies on the European market - said Katarzyna Byczkowska, Chairwoman of AHK Poland, in her speech.

All the speakers unanimously emphasized the need to take joint action in the era of challenges on the energy market and listed the opportunities arising from the green transformation. In addition to the speeches, the opening of the event also included a plenary debate on German investments in Poland.

During the second part of the event, as many as four discussion panels were organized with the participation of experts and opinion leaders from Poland and Germany. The speakers discussed, among other things, Europe's security in the context of medicine and energy, as well as the future of cities. The panel session were followed by networking, which was an opportunity to establish and deepen cooperation between representatives of German and Polish companies.
