The Lubuskie Voivodeship is located in the central-western part of Poland. Nine border crossings ensure adequate economic cooperation with its immediate neighbour Germany. Currently, the leading industry in the region is production for the automotive sector, and the traditional industries are wood processing and paper production. Sectors such as electronics, food, glass and building ceramics, machinery, metal structures (metal products), biotechnology, transport and logistics are also active. Zielona Góra and Gorzów Wielkopolski are also important academic centres with significant scientific achievements.

Investment opportunities
- A very well-developed road, rail and water transport network, numerous border crossings (road, rail and river) enabling fast transport of goods.
- Good conditions for the development of industry thanks to the presence of universities offering polytechnic faculties. The main potential for the creation of human capital in the province is 6 universities, where over eleven thousand students are educated. In the province, vocational schools are attended by 6.0% of students in the province, while technical secondary schools are attended by 43.0%.

- It is located in the heart of Europe, along the Polish-German border and perfectly connected to the European motorway system.
- It has a very well-developed technical infrastructure, e.g. A2, A18, S3 roads, railway and river routes and an airport.
- It provides EU funds for companies - EUR 908 million for the Lubuskie Voivodeship, including support for labour offices for investors (co-financing, among them, training and fitting out of the workplace up to 6 times the average monthly salary when employing the unemployed).
- It has almost 1,300 hectares of developed, available investment areas in Special Economic Zones and economic activity zones.
- It offers CIT exemption and local tax exemptions for up to 7 years.
- Domestic and foreign companies of diverse, traditional-innovative industries operate here.
- Local authorities cooperate with companies and business environment institutions in order to adjust secondary and higher education to the requirements of the labour market.
- There are tourist attractions here that will meet the expectations of even the most demanding.
