The largest gathering of leaders of business, politics and the world of science AIM 2022 has ended

On March 31, the 11th edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) ended. The event brought together representatives of the public and private sectors from around the world, including Poland. Among the members of the Polish delegation were, among others, representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

The Annual Investment Meeting is the largest gathering of leaders of the world of business, science and politics. The event is attended by corporations, politicians, businessmen, regional and international investors, entrepreneurs, scientists and experts. The meeting attracts participants from all over the world, both from the public and private sectors. During the event, the participants present the latest information, strategies and knowledge on attracting foreign direct investment.

AIM 2022 was held between the 29 to 31 March 2022 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, EXPO 2020, under the slogan "Investments in Sustainable Innovation for a Thriving Future". This year's meeting was the first hybrid edition of the event. AIM 2022 used a flexible combination of live and virtual environments. PAIH’s representatives, Member of the Management Board Grzegorz Słomkowski and Deputy Director of the Center for Investment Monika Grzelak attended AIM 2022 in person.

AIM’s opening ceremony was inaugurated by Abdulla Bin Touq, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates. It was attended by numerous investors, high-level officials, scientists, representatives of international organizations and many others. The 11th edition of the Annual Investment Meeting was divided into six main thematic blocks. During the event, issues such as:

  • Foreign direct investment,
  • Small and medium-sized enterprises,
  • Cities of the future,
  • Start-ups,
  • Foreign portfolio investments,
  • Initiative of 50 Projects.


AIM 2022 was full of exciting and valuable discussions, panels and workshops. During the global leaders debate, which was held under the same title as the whole event, the perspective of redesigning the global economy was discussed.

The Polish delegation took part in the session on the investment environment. PAIH’s representatives together with Director Zbigniew Bednarski representing the IDA and Krzysztof Misiak, Director of the Polish Branch of Cushman & Wakefield talked about Poland’s potential and encouraged participants from around the world to implement their investment plans in Poland.

Poland has a stable economy, a large labour market, well-developed infrastructure, a high credit rating and many other advantages that together provide entrepreneurs with good conditions for development. As a State, we also take numerous actions to maintain a good investment climate. We have, among other things, a number of incentives and instruments supporting the development of investments in our country. - emphasized Grzegorz Słomkowski during his presentation of what can offer.

About the Polish Investment and Trade Agency

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) is an advisory institution belonging to the Polish Development Fund (PFR) Group. It is the first point of contact for exporters and investors.
