The first participants of the Poland. Business Adventure programme have started their internships at Polish companies

Twelve participants of the second edition of the Poland. Business Adventure Scholarship Programme signed their participation agreements at the headquarters of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). They will now undertake three-month internships at Polish companies and organisations, while also getting the opportunity to learn more about modern Poland, its economy, labour market, culture and society.

The first participants have arrived from Ireland, Canada, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy. They are young people who want to learn more about the country of their ancestors while gaining valuable professional experience in a dynamic and rapidly developing business environment.

For many companies, the programme offers an opportunity to connect with talented young people who could become valuable employees in the future, while also helping them build international relationships. After completing their internships in the country of their ancestors, the participants can also become natural ambassadors for Poland.

The participants’ professional experience is made possible by the involvement of more than 50 Programme Partners. The first scholarship recipients will join the teams at FinTech Poland, the Institute of Creative Industries, IZODOM 2000 Polska, PLZ Spółdzielnia, BEZ-2, ALTKOM Academy, the Polish New Mobility Association, the Robert Dobrzycki Foundation and the Industrial Development Agency (ARP). The wide range of partner organisations will give participants the opportunity to explore different areas of Poland’s modern economy, from new technologies and education to innovative construction, mobility and the creative sector.

About the Programme

Poland. Business Adventure is much more than an internship programme. It is an initiative designed to build lasting connections between Poland and young members of the Polish diaspora from around the world. The programme combines professional development with an opportunity to explore Poland’s cultural heritage and learn more about its contemporary social and economic landscape. It also creates space for exchanging experiences, inspiring one another and building long-term relationships.

The programme is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. It was initiated by the Ministry, which entrusted the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), as a co-organiser, with implementing the programme and managing the funds allocated to it. Thanks to this cooperation, another group of young people of Polish descent has the opportunity not only to discover modern Poland, but also to contribute to its economic development and become part of its growing international network.

There is still time to join

Companies can still join the second edition of the Poland. Business Adventure Scholarship Programme as Programme Partners and offer a three-month, fully funded internship to young members of the Polish diaspora. The cost of participation is covered by PAIH, the programme’s organiser.

Becoming a Programme Partner is not only a way to support young talent and build connections with the Polish diaspora around the world. It can also bring real value to your organisation. Participants bring:

  • foreign language skills,
  • intercultural competencies,
  • knowledge of international markets,
  • fresh and unconventional perspectives on business challenges.
