Preparations for Poland’s participation are entering a key phase
The World Expo - the largest and most prestigious global events, combining economic, promotional, cultural and tourist themes - will start in less than 300 days in Japan. Poland’s main objectives at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai include enhancing recognition for the brand of the Polish economy, developing new economic cooperation and promoting Polish science, culture and tourism. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) is the institution responsible for implementing the project, under the supervision of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.
Poland Pavilion
The main arena of Poland’s presentation at Expo will be the Poland Pavilion, with an area of nearly 1000 m². The architectural design is based on the use of wood and its form resembles a spreading wave of Polish creativity and innovation. The architectural concept was designed by Polish-Spanish duo Alicja Kubicka and Borja Martínez - Interplay Architects.
The construction schedule for the Pavilion has been modified, due to the delay in the contractor selection process. The company originally selected in public tender resigned from signing the contract. Ultimately, the construction of the Poland Pavilion will be carried out by a consortium consisting of Nagashima Co., Ltd., JSC Corporation and FINASI SPI JV TURNKEY PROJECTS CONTRACTING - FZCO. The consortium guarantees that the project will be completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
The construction of the Poland Pavilion is a priority task and the most important element related to our country's participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Despite the challenges in the contractor selection process, PAIH made every effort to ensure that the Poland Pavilion will be completed in accordance with the design, on time and within the budget allocated for this task by the Council of Ministers of Poland - says Magdalena Skarżyńska, Deputy Chairman of the Board, Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
Comprehensive promotion of Poland
The World Expo is a great opportunity to show Poland as a modern country with a dynamically developing economy, bringing innovations and new technologies to the world - says Jacek Tomczak, Commissioner General of the Polish Section Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
