A Polish-Uzbek business round table at PAIH
The Uzbek side was represented by Muzaffar Madrakhimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Poland Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev and Bekhzod Ashurov, Chief Specialist at the Uzbek Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade. The guests emphasized the openness to investments of Polish companies, the system of business incentives and a number of positive changes that have taken place in the Uzbek economy in recent years.
The Polish side was represented by Marek Całka, Deputy Director of the Eastern Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mikołaj Tauber, Project Manager, PAIH’s Export Support Department, who chaired the meeting. The round table was also attended by the Chairman of the Poland-Asia Chamber, Janusz Piechociński.
The meeting was attended by a number of Polish companies representing the most promising industries. The participants talked about the export and investment opportunities that Polish companies in Uzbekistan are facing. There was also a question and answer session where issues concerning topics such as export insurance, business support instruments or the contractor verification system were discussed.
