The signing of the MoU on cooperation between PAIH, PIGPD and MTC
The agreement is a prelude to closer cooperation between the entities and an increase in economic exchanges between the two countries. Both the Polish and Malaysian chambers of commerce for the wood industry are the largest organizations for wood producers and processors in both countries. The trade in goods between Poland and Malaysia has great potential resulting from the demand of the Malaysian side for Polish wood species and the Polish side for exotic species.
I sincerely hope that the document signed by us today will be an impulse to open our countries to greater economic cooperation. Not only in the timber industry, which is covered by the agreement, but also in other sectors of both economies – said PAIH’s board member Zdzisław Sokal during the event.
The meeting between PAIH, the Polish Chamber of Commerce for the Wood Industry and the Malaysian Timber Council was carried out in a hybrid formula. The PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Kuala Lumpur was involved in the conclusion of the agreement.
