PAIH and the Digital Poland Foundation have been cooperating for several years. Previously, both organizations carried out joint activities aimed at attracting foreign investors. The agreement signed now, will allow us to operate even more efficiently and with greater intensity, and above all, constantly and long term. Every day, the Digital Poland Foundation undertakes a number of different activities aimed at promoting Poland and Polish companies, not only in Europe, but also in the world. Together with its sister organizations in Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Ukraine, Estonia, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein, the Digital Poland Foundation actively works to promote new technologies and the opportunities offered by them to society. Thanks to the Digital Poland initiative, from 2021, Digitization Days will be organized throughout Europe.

Poland has all the advantages needed to become the center of modern technologies in Europe. We have brilliant programmers, many outstanding scientists and creative entrepreneurs, and many of those employed in this field, know several foreign languages perfectly. Some global corporations have already discovered our advantages and have located their advanced R&D centers in Poland in the field of AI or 5G - explains Piotr Mieczkowski, Managing Director of the Digital Poland foundation.

Companies such as Ericsson, Google, Intel, Nokia, Samsung, TomTom, Ringier Axel Springer, Discovery and Nvidia have already invested in Poland. Thanks to Google's investment, we have the first technology hub in Central and Eastern Europe for a global provider of public clouds, and the seventh on the entire Old Continent and 25th in the world. The center - the only one that Google will open this year in Europe - was created as part of the company's cooperation with the "Krajowa Cloud" (established in 2018 on the initiative of PKO Bank Polski and the Polish Development Fund).

We observe that technology investors usually consider Warsaw as their location first. However, after further analysis and familiarization with the market, their preferences expand to other IT centers, such as Wrocław, Kraków, the Tricity, Poznań and Katowice - says Agnieszka Szweda from PAIH’s Investment Center.

It seems that digital transformation is inevitable and is the main direction of development and the way to build technological and competitive advantages of many companies. AI is most established in digital sectors such as telecommunications, banking and finance, retail, media, and insurance. AI is also treated by organizations as an innovation, because the main recipients of AI solutions are the innovation, research and development departments.

- We at the foundation, know very well how important it is to promote the leaders of digitization, as this helps to attract more investors to Poland. It is for this reason that the following projects were created as part of the Digital Festival- Digital Champions CEE, Digital Shapers and the Night of Innovation. Working remotely has shortened distances even more and I believe that thanks to closer cooperation with PAIH, we can convince new dynamic startups and global corporations to come to Poland. The signed agreements will also allow us to promote Polish companies abroad, thanks to, among others, aipoland.org. That is why I am very pleased with the signed cooperation agreement - adds Piotr Mieczkowski from Digital Poland.

In the signed agreement, the parties have agreed to undertake joint initiatives aimed at promoting the technological potential and digital transformation in Poland. According to the "State of Polish AI 2021" report prepared by Digital Poland and 10 Senses, the main difficulty faced by Polish AI companies is the area of sales and marketing, and especially raising brand awareness abroad. Important topics for the development of the industry are also: cooperation in the field of research, dissemination of knowledge and coding lessons in schools.
