Euro-Center Science and Technology Park
The Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park is a green space for innovation. It focuses its activities on the development of energy-saving technologies and energy conservation in buildings. It is an important point on the pro-ecological and economic map of Katowice and the region. Since its establishment, it has been pursuing the idea of energy-efficient construction, focusing on rational energy management and the use of renewable energy sources. It cooperates with leading research centres and universities in the country and the region, carrying out joint research and implementation projects in the field of energy efficiency, recycling and renewable energy sources. It monitors the latest trends in the sector and provides expert advice, using the results of the work of the Energy Specialist Observatory.
Location
The Euro-Centre complex is located in Katowice - the heart of the Upper Silesia and Zagłębie metropolitan area and the capital of the Silesian Voivodeship, one of the most industrialised regions in Poland with a dynamically developing economy and strong human capital. There are six European capitals within a 600 km radius of Katowice: Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, Vienna, Budapest and Berlin. The Park is located at the intersection of European transport corridors (A4, A1 motorways, DTŚ), in the immediate vicinity of international airports in Katowice - Pyrzowice and Krakow - Balice.
