The success of the Poland. Business Adventure programme. PAIH and MFA celebrate with this year’s young talented Polish interns

Participents in the programme are the generation of young Poles whose parents left Poland in search of better prospects, for a better job or because of the political situation. However, they themselves are drawn back to Poland. The programme helps to reestablish relations with the Homeland. As part of getting to know Poland anew, the scholarship holders gained experience in Polish companies, learned about Polish culture and rediscovered their roots. The culmination and grand finale was the ceremonial gala.
The scholarship holders and business representatives received diplomas commemorating their participation in the programme from the hands of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Henryka Mościcka-Dendys and PAIH’s Deputy Chairman Magdalena Skarżyńska.
As Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski emphasized during his speech, the organisers wanted participation in the internship to not only be related to work, but also to help establish relations and arouse interest in Poland. Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Henryka Mościcka-Dendys noted that Poland. Business Adventure is in line with the return policy implemented by the Polish government. She also emphasized that the Polish diaspora is a valuable resource for the Polish state. PAIH’s Deputy Chairman Magdalena Skarżyńska, emphasized that the programme is also part of the scope of the Agency's activities.
– PAIH operates in three areas. These are supporting exports, supporting investments and promoting Polish business. I am convinced that the Poland. Business Adventure programme fulfils all these tasks – said the Agency’s Deputy Chairman.
The programme Poland. Business Adventure is addressed to people aged 18-35 of Polish origin, living abroad. The first edition included 100 participants. The scholarship holders completed three-month paid internships in Polish companies. The last of the groups of participants will end their adventure in November 2025.
– It is a totally new programme that has been created for Poles who are considering returning to their homeland but need confirmation that they will find a place for themselves in Poland. Such an initiative gives us the courage to face the most important questions: If I return to Poland, will I fit in both culturally and socially? Will I find a job in Poland? During the internships, we were supported by mentors and specialists – they took care of us and made sure that during webinars and weekends we got to know or recall how modern, beautiful and diverse Poland is. - says Karolina de Boom, one of the scholarship recipients.
The success of the first edition confirms the potential of the programme implemented jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PAIH as a tool for building bridges between the Polish diaspora and Poland, encouraging permanent returns and strengthening the competitiveness of Polish companies on international markets.
