Polish cosmetics at Cosme Week in Japan

Dynamic growth, strong exports
Polish manufacturers from the cosmetics sector skillfully combine modern solutions with a century of tradition and experience. Their openness to market needs, tailoring their offer to the expectations of the most demanding customers, as well as their ingenuity and innovative approach have helped Poland become one of the leaders of the European cosmetics industry. Today, Polish cosmetics are also increasingly appreciated on other continents, including Asia.
In 2024, Poland had the highest growth rate on the cosmetics market (16.8%) in the entire European Union, which gives Polish manufacturers the opportunity to rapidly increase their share in foreign markets. This is also facilitated by highly qualified staff, comprehensive production facilities and a favorable geographical location. All this caused the value of Polish cosmetics exports to reach a record level of EUR 6.0 billion in 2024, says Dr Justyna Żerańska, Director General of the Polish Association of Cosmetic and Detergents Industry.
Polish cosmetics unique in the world
The Polish cosmetics sector has gained worldwide recognition thanks to its comprehensive approach and wide range of products, including high-quality cosmetics and all categories of white and color products. This success is also due to the marriage of science and tradition. In addition to a century of experience, the industry draws on current research and development.
Numerous scientific institutions offering courses in cosmetic chemistry and cosmetology are responsible for training staff in line with the latest trends. As a result, the Polish modern cosmetics industry comprises over 1,300 manufacturers, ranging from large enterprises to micro-entrepreneurs. They create approximately 65,300 jobs across the entire value chain, accounting for almost 10% of all employees in the EU cosmetics industry.
Polish cosmetics at Cosme Week in Osaka
In its international expansion, the Polish cosmetics industry can count on the support from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). PAIH provides entrepreneurs with substantive assistance and implements various promotional initiatives that strengthen the positive image of the domestic cosmetics sector around the world.
Polish entrepreneurs from the cosmetics sector are eager to participate in PAIH initiatives. The nearest opportunity to see a wide range of their products and services will be the cosmetics fair Cosme Week in Osaka. As part of the Brand HUB project, PAIH is organising a national stand there, where Polish cosmetics will be presented. We are inviting everyone to visit us, says Dorota Szczytowicz from PAIH, who coordinates promotional activities for the cosmetics sector as part of the Brand HUB project.
More information about the Polish Beauty and Cosmetics Sector can be found in the PAIH information and promotional film and in the industry report.
