Poland's Growing Export Potential

Poland is one of the largest food producers in the European Union, with agri-food exports reaching USD 58.1 billion in 2024, of which USD 15.3 billion (26%) went outside the EU. South Korea has become a key market, and Polish food exports are expected to increase by 13% year-on-year in 2024.

Poland has become one of the largest food producers in the European Union, known for its meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables, grains, bread, and confectionery. Polish food is valued not only in demanding EU markets but is also exported to the farthest corners of the world.

Since joining the European Union in 2004, Poland has adhered to the highest standards in food production, such as HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and GHP. International certifications such as BRC and IFS guarantee compliance with the requirements of importers and food service chains worldwide. For global buyers, this means access to proven, safe food products with high nutritional value and natural ingredients. Importantly, Polish producers supply goods not only under their own brands but also as private label products for retail chains and large corporations, ensuring that the recipes and quality standards meet the expectations of international partners.

Strengthening Bilateral Business Ties

The forum organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) provided a platform for direct dialogue between Polish exporters and Korean importers. The discussions highlighted opportunities for cooperation in sectors where competitive prices, certified quality, and the scale of Polish production meet Korean demand.

The high attendance and number of business meetings confirmed the growing interest in deepening economic relations between Poland and South Korea. The forum demonstrated that Poland can serve as a strategic partner in providing high-quality European products to Korean consumers and businesses.
