Domestic investments are growing in strength

In the first quarter of 2025, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency supported investment projects with a total declared value of EUR 670 million, which will contribute to the creation of about a thousand new jobs. The largest project in which the Agency was involved in Q1. 2025 was a Polish investment.

There will be no economic growth without increasing the level of investment. Without a strong economy, there is no way to ensure the security of our country today. These are the two pillars that are a determinant for the Government when it comes to our activities - emphasized the Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk and added - Polish companies have an increasing share in important investments. The Ministry of Agriculture and Technology has been actively involved in creating solutions that will foster and strengthen this participation to an even greater extent. Investment processes must take less time and must be simpler. This will be possible if we implement the deregulation process effectively and efficiently. I am optimistic - within a two weeks period, the draft MRiT First Deregulation Package passed through the Sejm - it was unanimously adopted. We are authentic and credible in this process and these intentions are not declarative, but very strongly justified, in order to foster the ease and efficiency of the investment process.

The value of investments are growing

Over EUR 325 million more than a year ago - this is almost a twofold increase in the value of investments declared by entrepreneurs who received PAIH’s support in the first quarter of this year. Most of them are technologically advanced and innovative projects, mainly in the BSS-IT (Business Support System - IT) sector.

The vast majority is Polish capital. And it is a Polish company that is investing in the largest project. A modern recycling plant for used lithium-ion batteries is being built in Silesia. The value of this investment is over EUR 650 million and will provide jobs for 300 people.

Compared to the corresponding first quarter of 2024, the value of declared projects increased from EUR 344.6 million to EUR 670 million. A few years ago, PAIH expanded its strategy, supporting not only FDI, but also domestic investments of Polish companies. The first quarter of this year shows that this strategy is paying off. Currently, PAIH supports 120 active projects, with a total declared value of nearly EUR 10 billion and employment of 22,000 people. It is also worth noting that over 25% of these planned investments are projects from Poland, which shows that Polish investors are increasingly willing to use PAIH's support - said Paweł Pudłowski, PAIH's Deputy Chairman responsible for investment support.

As in the case of projects completed in the first quarter of 2025, the projects currently supported by PAIH also show high investment outlays due to the high level of automation. The agency focuses primarily on attracting investments in high-tech sectors, i.e. those that will not only guarantee high-quality new jobs, but will also be an added value for our economy.
