A new investment in the automotive industry at EURO-PARK Kobierzyce, in the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone
- For nearly 20 years, we have been supporting companies operating in EURO-PARK Kobierzyce within the borders of the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone. Today, it is one of the most modern industrial parks in Poland, where companies from the electromobility industry or the producers of batteries for electric cars have their headquarters. I am all the more glad that Universal Scientific Industrial Poland, which has been operating in our zone since 2007, is investing in a machine park and increasing production - said Paweł Kolczyński, Vice President of ARP S.A.
Universal Scientific Industrial Poland sp.z o.o. produces : electronic and optical equipment, LED lighting, apparatus for radios, TV sets and telecommunications devices according to the specifications of the ordering company. These products are used, among other places, in the automotive industry. Their high quality is guaranteed by the tests conducted , which are based on the proprietary and innovative technological process DFT (Dynamic Functional Test). This process is able to catch product errors early on, before they reach the customer.
In the new production plant, in the construction of which USI will invest PLN 100 million, the company will produce PCBA and OEM boards (these are printed electronic circuit boards, which are an important element in the electronics industry, support for electronic components and a carrier for electrical connections of electronic components). These circuit boards will be intended primarily for the automotive industry.
- Thanks to the excellent investment conditions that ARP created at EURO-PARK Kobierzyce, several dozen large global and innovative companies, led by LG Energy Solution, have found a place to conduct business in Kobierzyce. We are particularly pleased with subsequent investments, which strengthen the presence of companies in EURO-PARK Kobierzyce and the fact that companies which were forced by the pandemic to postpone their investment plans until later, have return to their planned implementation. Universal Scientific Industrial Poland is such a company - said Przemysław Strzelec, Deputy Director of the ARP S.A. Branch in Wroclaw.
The investment process was supported by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. A government grant was granted for the implementation of the reinvestment under the program operated by PAIH.
I am glad that Universal Scientific Industrial Poland is inaugurating another project in the field of innovation. It is a strategic reinvestment in innovative technologies that will translate into an increase in the production capacity of the plant and, consequently, in strengthening our automotive sector. The manufactured products will be used in the automotive industry. This will open another door for the company and give them even greater opportunities for development. Innovative companies, which are more and more willing to apply for Government grants, are turning to PAIH for support. With these companies in mind, at the beginning of the year, we made significant changes to this support scheme. We can see the effects. The Government grant program simplifies the investment procedure and the development of the business development – said Grzegorz Słomkowski, board member of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
