The Forum attracted a wide range of representatives from both the private and public sectors, including entrepreneurs, high-level managers, experts and policy makers. The event was opened by Andrzej Domański, Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy, and Katherina Reiche, Minister of Economy of Germany. The opening was also attended by Helena Melnikov, Director General of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and Andrzej Dycha, Chairman of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

The subject of the Forum focused on current challenges and opportunities for Polish-German economic cooperation, with an emphasis on the development of innovation. The main panels included, among other things, trade and investment, industrial cooperation and economic modernization. Strengthening competitiveness and security were also discussed, including in the field of cybersecurity and the diversification of supply chains. Another important topic discussed during the Forum was the role of regional cooperation as a factor of joint success.

The Polish and German economies are closely interconnected. Our relationship is strengthened by growing trade and mutual investment. Events such as today's Forum show that we are heading in the same direction, and our successes are mutually reinforcing - said Andrzej Dycha, PAIH’s Chairman, during the opening of the Forum.

The Forum’s participants emphasized that Polish-German cooperation is a pillar of European economic stability. Among the key topics were the need to strengthen autonomy in strategic sectors and the exchange of knowledge - Germany offers know-how, and Poland offers modernization efficiency. PAIH was represented at the Forum by a delegation consisting of Director Maciej Srebro and Justyna Lipczyńska, Ewa Barazik and Maciej Wnuk from the Export Support Department, as well as representatives of PAIH's Foreign Trade Office in Frankfurt.
