Success of the Polish-Saudi Investment Forum

Numerous Government representatives and hundreds of entrepreneurs in one place – Wednesday's Polish-Saudi Investment Forum gathered over 350 participants, including an 80-person delegation from Saudi Arabia and dozens of representatives of Polish business, administration and industry organizations. The event, organized in Warsaw by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), showed that cooperation between Poland and Saudi Arabia is entering a new, strategic level and opening the way to lasting economic partnerships.

Representatives of the world of business and politics from Poland and Saudi Arabia discussed opportunities for cooperation in key areas such as energy and petrochemicals, digital technologies, agriculture and food processing, as well as infrastructure and real estate. The talks were attended by 330 Polish entrepreneurs and an 80-person delegation from Saudi Arabia, including 20 representatives of the Saudi Ministry of Investment, led by His Excellency Minister Khalid Al-Falih, and 60 representatives of Saudi business.

A strong delegation from the Polish government and business support institutions was also present. Poland was represented by, among others, Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance and Economy, Michał Baranowski, Deputy Minister of Development and Technology, Jacek Czerniak, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and representatives of companies from the PFR Group, led by PAIH.

"The large presence of business representatives and the authorities of both countries at today's Forum clearly shows that Polish-Saudi relations are entering a new, strategic stage. Saudi Arabia, the largest economy in the Middle East and a key player in the Persian Gulf region, is becoming a natural partner for Poland – a stable, dynamically developing and attractive country for investment. I am convinced that this Forum will open the way to many joint projects and bring our economies even closer together," said Andrzej Dycha, PAIH’s Chairman, during the opening of the event.

Opening speeches were also delivered by Ministers Baranowski and Czerniak, as well as His Excellency Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They unanimously emphasized that Poland and Saudi Arabia are natural economic partners, and that cooperation between our countries has enormous development potential in both investment and trade.

However, the Forum is not only about speeches. The event was also an opportunity to listen to presentations on investment opportunities in both countries or strategic projects such as "New Murabba" in Riyadh. Networking and thematic sessions were also held, devoted to, among other things, construction, petrochemicals, ICT and the agri-food industry, which enabled entrepreneurs to exchange experiences and establish valuable relations. During the Forum, the signing of a cooperation agreement between PAIH and the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia was also announced. This document is an important step towards further strengthening economic relations, facilitating the development of cooperation between entrepreneurs from both countries and mutual investments.
