Poland is developing scientific cooperation with Mexico

Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Mexico, PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Mexico City, the Institute of New Technologies of Environmental Engineering and the Instituto de Energías Renovables from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México have signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement concerns the transfer of green technologies and is the result of almost two years of effort and negotiations, which started during the GreenEvo mission organized in 2022.

The agreement concluded by the institutes (entitled Hydrophyte Bioreactor) is an important step in strengthening Polish-Mexican relations, especially in the field of scientific cooperation, and will contribute to the transfer of green technologies. Instituto de Energías Renovables plans to use Polish solutions as part of its ongoing scientific projects that will support sustainable development and environmental protection in Mexico in the area of water and wastewater treatment. The agreement also lays the foundations for further strengthening international scientific cooperation and may provide the Polish side with the opportunity to take up the position of Visiting Professor at a Mexican university.
