Two years left to Poland’s participation in EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai

The largest and most important economic and cultural event in the world - EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai - will commence in exactly two years’ time. On this occasion, an official ceremony was organized in Japan, during which this round date was celebrated and construction officially began. April 13, 2023 was also an opportunity for the Polish Investment and Trade Agency responsible for preparing Poland’s presence at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai to announce further details of our country's participation in the World Exhibition.

Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai - Poland. Heritage that drives the futureThe main theme of the upcoming Expo will be "Designing Future Society for Our Lives". The leitmotif will be implemented through three sub-themes: Saving lives, Empowering lives and Connecting lives. The organizers expect participants from more than 150 countries and more than 28 million visitors.

By participating in the Expo, Poland wants to strengthen its image in the international arena and establish new economic contacts. The showcase of our country will be the Polish Pavilion located in the Saving Lives zone. This subtheme will concern supporting health with modern technology, strengthening safety and saving mental well-being and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The Polish pavilion will remind us not only of great achievements, but will also indicate issues that are crucial for the future of the next generations - says Grzegorz Piechowiak, General Commissioner of the Polish Section of EXPO 2025, Secretary of State, Government Plenipotentiary for Foreign Investment at the Ministry of Development and Technology.

The proposed deign of the Polish Pavilion was born out of the fascination of architects Alicja Kubicka and Borja Martinez with the geometry of a spiral that occurrs in nature in all its scales. The concept's form also metaphorically emphasizes the importance of the "creativity gene" inherent in Poles, which spreads across all areas of the country. The Polish pavilion will show that innovative ideas created by individuals which generate the development of innovative ideas around the world, but will also indicate that knowledge and experience gained abroad returns to the gravitational center of our nation - our homeland.

The concept of the Polish Pavilion will perfectly fit into the image that we are consistently building of Poland as a country whose main resource are its people - creative, open, professional, aware of the challenges of life, courageous in their thoughts and actions, often even ahead of the times in which they live. In this way, the long-term goal related to the effects achieved during EXPO 2020 in Dubai will also being achieved, that is to strengthen the image of the Poland as a country of open, educated and creative people - emphasized Chairman of PAIH’s Management Board, Paweł Kurtasz.

The main motto of Poland’s presence at EXPO 2025 World Exhibition will be Poland. Heritage that drives the future. It is the axis of the story of Poland, whose heritage is creativity and the ability to cope with the challenges of everyday life. The expression of these characteristic features can be seen in the activities of outstanding individuals - Poles who were pioneers of ideas definitely ahead of their time - outstanding world-class artists, Polish innovators, visionaries, scientists, but also entrepreneurs who stood out on an international scale.
