Business consultations with Ambassadors of Sub-Saharan African countries at the PGE Narodowy

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted representatives of sub-Saharan African countries as part of business consultations organized at PGE Narodowy. Participating representatives of individual countries of selected Polish companies from various industries can offer. The event was attended by the Ambassadors of Tanzania, Chad, Morocco, Mali, Botswana, Senegal, South Africa, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Congo, Angola, Mauritius, Niger and Zimbabwe.

The event was opened by the Chairman of PAIH’s Management Board, Krzysztof Drynda. Who stressed that thanks to experience gained over the last 30 years, Poland has rich economic experience that it can be share with the fast-growing African countries. He also added that Africa is an increasingly interesting direction for Polish entrepreneurs, as shown by the Polish-African Economic Forum implemented during Expo 2020 Dubai.

Africa is an extremely promising market, with huge economic and demographic potential. We are constantly monitoring the possibilities of cooperation with African countries and we are constantly trying to establish new business relations - said Krzysztof Drynda.

The guests were also welcomed by the Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tomasz Jamróz. He noted that as like for Poland the moment of political transformation and regaining independence, so for African countries gaining independence will allowed for the rapid development of their economies and will becaming the beginning of the road to competitiveness on international markets.

During the meeting, the support instruments PAIH can offer were presented by Wioleta Lewandowska - Head of the Africa and Middle East Region, and Łukasz Grabowski, Deputy Director of the Export Centre.

Also during the meeting, the following companies presented their offer for cooperation, Asseco Poland, Blik, Chespa, Dig in Vision, Emka, LUG Light Factory, Pietrucha, Spectre Solutions, Symbiona and the Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych. Representatives of following institutions - the Industrial Development Agency, the Podkarpackie Innovation Center and the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency - also talked about the possibilities of cooperation.
