An investment conference “Why Poland now? Attractive destination for energy, infrastructure and automotive projects!”
The meeting was opened by Deputy Minister of Development and Technology, Government Plenipotentiary for Foreign Investment Grzegorz Piechowiak and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Kōichi Hagiuda. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency was represented by Grzegorz Słomkowski, Member of PAIH’s Management Board.
Japan is a particularly important partner for Poland. Japanese companies were among the first foreign investors in our country after the economic transformations. Their investments have always been and still are an important element of the modernization process of the Polish economy. However, cooperation with Japan is not only about trade and investment. Our country is no longer only an attractive production base for Japanese companies, we see more and more opportunities for cooperation on many other levels. - Grzegorz Piechowiak emphasized the importance of Polish-Japanese relations.
During the conference, companies could get acquainted with PAIH's presentation about the current economic situation in Poland. Grzegorz Słomkowski presented the advantages of investing in our country and spoke about Japanese business in Poland.
Poland has a high credit ranking, which proves the stability of the economy. We also have a large labour market and well-developed infrastructure, which provides good conditions for entrepreneurs. As a State, we also take various types of measures to maintain a good investment climate. We have among other things, a number of incentives and instruments supporting the development of investments in our country. - emphasized Grzegorz Słomkowski during the conference.
The main topics of the remaining speeches were Poland’s energy transformation, the infrastructure sector and the automotive industry, as well as projects in the field of electromobility. The conference ended with an invitation for Polish and Japanese companies to B2B talks online.
