IKEA invests PLN 225m in Zb±szynek
IKEA Industry is expanding its factory in Zb±szynek. This is the biggest production site of the Swedish furniture giant where, currently, 3,000 people are hired. This number will grow by additional 280 new jobs when the investment is completed.
IKEA Industry in Zb±szynek produces furniture made of cellular panels. Within the investment, new production hall and a finished product warehouse will be created. The new project will allow the company to double the number of pieces of furniture produced, there that reaches 125,000 of products per week. The company also plans to streamline its logistics processes.
New facility will be put into operation in June 2018 while production will be scheduled for September 2018. IKEA Industry has already started recruiting new employees.

PAIH workshop: towards Iranian market
On 9 November at 10:00, PAIH invites to its headquarters to a workshop dedicated to the Iranian market.
The workshop will be run by experts of BGK, KUKE, as well as by Polish - Iranian Chamber of Commerce. Also representatives of companies experienced in doing business in Iran will give advice to those who are interested in entering the Iranian market.

Green Technologies mission to India

12 Congress of Industry and Automotive Market

European Labour Mobility Congress
This year's edition is co-organized by the Polish Ministry of Economic Development. Opening speech will be addressed by the Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Traditionally, organizers have invited Marianne Thyssen, EU Commissioner responsible for revision of the posted of workers directive.
The congress is an excellent opportunity to learn about the rules concerning the posting of workers in particular EU Member States. Among the speakers there are renown political decision makers and public administration representatives. There is also a space in the agenda for workers’ and employers’ representations, experts, scholars and lawyers specialized in the field of service provision in the EU.
Programme also includes workshops led by lawyers practicing labour law and social insurance in countries to which workers are commonly posted (eg. Germany, France, Belgium).

Poland: the sixth cosmetics market in Europe
For a few years, Polish cosmetic industry has flourished. According to Deloitte report on the cosmetic market in Poland, in 2016 the value of the industry in Poland amounted to PLN 16 bn.
Over the past 15 years, Polish cosmetics sector has doubled the size. Today, Poland is the sixth biggest cosmetic market in Europe. It is worth noting that when the industry in Poland has been experiencing significant growth, such major markets as France and Italy, have shrunk by 0.19% and 1.09%, respectively. As the forecasts shows, in 2021 the value of this Polish sector will reach even PLN 20 bn. According to experts, the demand for more expensive products and those dedicated to elder consumers will shape the growth of the cosmetic industry in Poland.
There are 400 cosmetic companies that differ in size and origins in Poland. On one hand, there are international companies and big Polish players among them. There is also a significant group of Poland-based medium, small and micro companies. In total, the sector employs 43,000 people.
Although the largest demand for Polish cosmetics is generated by the European Union (nine-fold increase from PLN 231m to PLN 2.04bn between 2004 and 2016), the products from this segment are exported to more than 160 countries, including Mexico, Indonesia or Australia. According to Deloitte experts, the Polish cosmetic industry is currently facing an opportunity for further global expansion. The markets of the Middle East and Asian are particularly promising. Vietnam and South Korea. Kuwait, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates are now on the spot light of the Polish cosmetic sector. (Deloitte)

Being a youtuber: a profitable business
Polish youtubers make averagely from PLN 1.500 to almost PLN 30.000 on a one-off cooperation with a brand, and earnings from the subscription of their channels reach approximately PLN 30.000, according to the report by GetHero and APYnews. Interestingly, nearly 20% of them earn more than the rest of the video-influencers.
The report’s authors - GetHero agency and APYnews website polled 104 youtubers representing various types of channels and content. As the paper reads, Polish youtubers’ source of earnings are ads (96% of cases), streams, stores and collaboration with brands, that are ready to pay even PLN 100.000 per one project. Moreover, such segments as lifestyle, gaming and entertainment are the most lucrative, and the largest group is gamers (nearly half of the respondents).
Majority of the surveyed influencers (82%) said that their monthly earnings range from PLN 1.000 to 10.000 monthly, whereas those making the most (over PLN 10.000) account for only 18% of the respondents.
