The Silesian Voivodeship, located in southern Poland, is one of the most attractive regions in the country for investors. Its greatest asset is its human potential – Silesia is characterized by the highest population and urbanization in the country, which translates into access to a wide market and highly qualified employees with unique competences.

\n\nThe region has the densest network of motorways and expressways in the country, one of the most dynamically developing regional airports, as well as the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ), considered to be the best economic zone in Europe. Katowice – the Capital of the Voivodeship – also plays a key role in creating the investment and economic climate of Poland, while being an important business and technological centre. All this makes Silesia, with its innovative economy based on knowledge, technology and sustainable development, whose structure is based on regional smart specializations such as medicine, information technology, energy, green economy and emerging industries, one of the economically strongest regions of the country.

\n\nThere are over half a million companies operating in the region, whose dynamic development is conducive to the implementation of modern technologies, acquiring new competences and integration with global supply chains. Silesia creates favourable conditions for investment, professional development and establishing business relations. The confirmation of investment and economic attractiveness for both the Voivodeship, the city of Katowice and the Katowice Special Economic Zone are numerous awards granted by fDi Intelligence from the Financial Times group.

\n\nA strong scientific background is another pillar of regional advantage. There are 31 Institutes of Higher Education in the region, many of which cooperate with companies in the field of research and technological development. They have experienced staff, interdisciplinary research teams and modern laboratory facilities, which give them the opportunity to create and implement joint programs with domestic and foreign investors.\n\n\n
