The Kujawy and Pomerania region is located in the central part of the country. An area with industrial and agricultural traditions. In addition to the highly developed sectors: agriculture, chemical, electro-mechanical, shared services (BPO\/SSC), plastics processing, the Voivodeship has a rich scientific and research base, led by the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru\u0144, the Bydgoszcz University of Technology and numerous centres supporting the flow of modern solutions from science to industry, e.g. the Regional Innovation Centre in Bydgoszcz, the Technology Transfer Centre, the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Science and Technology Centre named after Prof. Jan Czochralski or Exea Data Centre in Toru\u0144.
