NHOs \u00e5rskonferanse 2026 is the largest meeting of business leaders, which was opened this year by the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr St\u00f8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, the event sets the economic and public agenda in Norway for the coming year. Discussions focused on innovation, geopolitics, competitiveness and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrzej Doma\u0144ski, Minister of Finance and Economy, during the opening panel with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, head of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and B\u00f8rge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum in Davos, discussed global challenges, with particular emphasis on security and building Europe’s long-term economic resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round table talks with Norwegian business<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As part of the bilateral round table meeting, representatives of the Polish public administration talked with the largest Norwegian companies. Among the leading topics were: energy, defence, the space sector and dual-use technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAIH\u2019s Chairman Andrzej Dycha, spoke with his counterpart in Norway, H\u00e5kon Haugli from Innovation Norway – the state agency for the promotion of Norwegian trade, tourism and inventions, established in 2004. Poland is among the top five countries with which Innovation Norway cooperates. About 20 percent of the institution’s foreign projects are implemented in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poland and Norway share a very good and stable trade exchange, which shows that our economies complement each other in real terms. Today, it is crucial to further deepen cooperation between companies and institutions on both sides – emphasized Andrzej Dycha.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAIH’s active presence in Norway<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Oslo has been operating since 2018 under the leadership of Martalena Eriksen. The office serves over 200 companies annually and cooperates with local institutions and industry organizations, mainly from the energy sector – including renewable energy, wind energy and hydrogen technologies – as well as from the space, construction and IT industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norway – a key economic partner<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As a member of the European Economic Area (EEA), Norway applies the entire EU acquis communautaire, excluding agriculture and fisheries. The country’s economy is characterized by a high degree of openness. Norway is among the 20 largest oil exporters and the second largest exporter of natural gas and seafood in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consistently strengthening cooperation<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

These are not the first moves to deepen Polish-Norwegian cooperation. A year ago, Prime Minister Donald Tusk visited Oslo and met with the Norwegian Prime Minister. Both emphasized the close relations between Poland and Norway and set the directions for future action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz hosted his counterpart, Tor Sandvik, in Warsaw. The talks in Norway in November last year were also led by the Minister of Climate and Environment, Paulina Hennig-Kloska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
