Strengthening relations between the countries<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The event was aimed at strengthening economic and investment cooperation between Poland and Mongolia, which was strongly emphasized by the Presidents in their speeches. Andrzej Duda spoke about the growing interest of Polish business in the Mongolian market, and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh emphasized what an important trading partner Poland is for Mongolia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entrepreneurs from both countries and numerous representatives of Polish and Mongolian government institutions and business-related organizations talked about the possibilities of cooperation in areas such as mining, construction and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the production and processing of wool and cashmere. An important topic of the panel sessions and subsequent networking were modern solutions related to food production and processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today’s Forum is a new opening in Polish-Mongolian relations, an opportunity to share knowledge and experience, and an opportunity to look for ways to achieve common success. Cooperation between Poland and Mongolia has great potential, especially in areas such as innovative technologies, sustainable development and the mining industry – said PAIH\u2019s Deputy Chairman \u0141ukasz Gwiazdowski during the opening of the Polish-Mongolian Economic Forum.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Forum is not only about speeches by Presidents and bilateral talks of companies from Poland and Mongolia. As part of the strengthening of relations between the two countries, an agreement important for supporting Polish and Mongolian business was signed. The establishment of official cooperation between the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and its sister Mongolian Investment and Trade Agency will be a significant, real facilitation for entrepreneurs from both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Economic cooperation between Poland and Mongolia<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Mongolia is a dynamically developing country, relying mainly on rich natural resources. The mining industry is a priority sector of the economy, but there is also a growing need to modernize infrastructure, including transport. IT and innovations in the area of solar, wind and hydro energy are also developing dynamically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poland is currently Mongolia’s third largest trading partner in the European Union and the eleventh largest in the world. The most important Polish export products include: foodstuffs (about 30% of exports), machinery and mechanical equipment, chemical industry products, plastics, as well as products of animal and plant origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The value of Polish exports to Mongolia has since 2005, exceeded one billion dollars and the average annual growth in 2020-2024 was 12%. On the other hand, coal dominates the imports from Mongolia. In 2022, the value of Mongolian imports to Poland amounted to about $1.9 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Polish Investment and Trade Agency<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) is an advisory institution that is part of the Polish Development Fund (PFR) Group. It is the first point of contact for exporters and investors. It operates both in Poland and through its network of offices around the world.
