The talks were devoted to the potential of both countries in the area of economic cooperation, investment and an exchange of knowledge. The key sectors for Kenya are IT, agriculture, technology and the green economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President of the Kenya Investment Authority, Ms. June Chepkemei, spoke about Poland\u2019s economic success against the backdrop of EU. At the same time, the head of KenInvest emphasized that the country is building its position in a similar way, and that cooperation between the world of business and science as well as building public and private partnerships can ensure a stable future for both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, PAIH\u2019s Chairman Pawe\u0142 Kurtasz emphasized the many similarities between Poland and Kenya<\/strong> – a large pool of young, educated potential employees, the dynamics of economic development and the ambition to gain the position of a leader. These are the factors that allow us to be optimistic about the prospects for the development of our mutual relations in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambassador Johnson Weru, Chief Secretary of the Investment Department at the Kenyan Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, added that Kenya has the potential to become one of the most powerful economies in Africa over the next decade<\/strong>, and today’s Forum is a platform for building future economic cooperation. He stressed that investments are of great importance to Kenya and that the country perceives Poland as a valuable economic partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Mazurewicz, Head of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Nairobi, presented the history of economic changes in Poland – building a huge base of qualified staff, attracting foreign investors, building technical and scientific competences and unprecedented growth of its GDP. At the same time, he stressed that today Poland can now itself carry out foreign investments in other countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The economic mission to Africa was attended by several dozen Polish companies that took part in the B2B meetings planned during the Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
