IAC manufacturing plant kicks off

On October 24th International Automotive Components (IAC) has opened Opole-based factory of car cockpits. The firm’s Centre of Excellence, carried out within the investment, has kicked off the same day.
The estimated value of the investment reaches $20 m. A premium, hand-made elements of car cockpits will be produced there by 550 new employees. Also several different car parts can be manufactured in Opole, supporting the production processes in other plants owned by the company located in the distance of 100-450 km from Opole.

Poland is one of the biggest European manufacturers of automotive parts. We have got qualified staff, excellent investment plots and extensive sub-suppliers base – PAIH vice-president Krzysztof Senger commented. – The automotive sector has a strong representation in PAIH’s portfolio. At the moment, we are supporting 40 projects in the industry, and in the last decade we have completed 115 of them – Senger added.

Construction works began in February. The company’s new facility in Opole is the firm’s 27th manufacturing plants in Europe.
