The visit of the Spanish distributors was organized by the PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Madrid in cooperation with the Polish - Spanish Chamber of Commerce (PHIG). It included a series of B2B meetings with Polish manufacturers, visits to cosmetic factories, as well as participation in the Cosmetic Forum organized at the same time in Warsaw.

Establishing a business relationship with a foreign partner is a long process. Therefore, we are very happy that the mission we organized has already started cooperation between Indigo Nails and a distributor from Spain. We hope that we will soon be able to announce the entry of new Polish cosmetics brands on to the Spanish market - said Wojciech Łopatkiewicz, Manager of the Foreign Trade Office in Madrid.Spain is one of the leading cosmetics producers and exporters in the world and the fifth largest cosmetics market in the European Union. There are about 400 cosmetic companies operating in Spain. As in Poland, the sector relies mainly on small and medium-sized companies - they constitute as much as 84 percent of all cosmetic companies. Last year, Spanish exports reached the level of EUR 4.72 billion, more than half of which went to the European Union countries, mainly Germany, France and Portugal. In the same period, the import of cosmetics amounted to EUR 3.34 billion, the vast majority from France, Italy, Ireland and Germany. The strength of the Spanish cosmetics industry is shown by the fact that since 2006, the sector can boast a positive balance of foreign trade. The amount sent last year on cosmetics increased by 2.6% y / y, reaching the level of EUR 8.2 billion, giving the result of EUR 170 per person, with the European average being EUR 140. The success of the Polish company, which despite the high entry barrier and large local competition, has won the trust of distributors and first customers is all the more pleasing.

We hope that this success of Indigo will allow for further promotion of the Polish cosmetics sector on the Iberian Peninsula and will encourage more, made in Poland brands to contact local distributors - adds Maja Justyna, Manager of PAIH’s Company Service Center.Indigo Nails Lab is one of the largest companies operating in the beauty industry in Poland. The company is known for its high-class nail styling products and instructors who most often in the world win awards.

The company produces and distributes hybrid varnishes, nail care accessories and cosmetics from the Home SPA industry (lotions, creams, peelings). Indigo Nails also runs a network of company salons and training centers. Currently, there are over 100 company showrooms around the world.

We are pleased with our cooperation with PAIH - this is another occasion when, thanks to the Agency's support, we acquire a contractor in our sector. Spain is an important direction for us - we treat it as a gateway to expansion into Central and South America. For this purpose, we have create promotional materials dedicated to Spanish-speaking clients - an educational channel on YouTube in Spanish, the purpose of which will be to popularize our brand's products. We are firmly focused on marking our presence on the markets of the Iberian Peninsula and in Latin American countries. We know that we will succeed - also thanks to PAIH’s support - said Magdalena Malaczyńska, vice president of Indigo Nails.Indigo products are available in 44 countries around the world: all over Europe, South Africa, Australia, USA, UAE, and soon the list of countries will also be extended to Latin America.
