More Polish companies enter the Hungarian market

The good run of Polish companies in Hungary continues. Another two Polish companies - this time from the construction industry: Skalmar from Kraków and Stalprodukt-Zamość have launched their products on the Hungarian market.

Krakow manufacturer of sun protection and security systems - Skalmar company and Stalprodukt from Zamość, manufacturing doors, sectional gates and aluminum joinery, debut on the Hungarian market only a few months after the first presentation of the offer at the International Construction Fair CONSTRUMA 2019. This is the largest event of the construction industry in Hungary, which every year attracts hundreds of exhibitors and about fifty thousand visitors.


Polish construction companies take advantage of the good economic situation in Hungary - says Marcin Karaskiewicz, the head of PAIH's Hungarian office. - We are looking for partners and distributors for domestic producers interested in the Hungarian market. Polish products are valued for their quality here and our companies are better prepared for foreign expansion - adds Karaskiewicz.

Since the beginning of this year, seven Polish companies have entered the Hungarian market with the supports of PAIH's Office in Budapest. Poland is the third largest exporter to the Hungarian market (after Germany and Austria). Poland's and Hungary's trade turnover remains relatively high and continues to grow at a double-digit rate. In 2018 it amounted to EUR 9.5 billion. The most popular products in Hungary, apart from electromechanical and metallurgical industry products, are Polish construction and food products.
