"I know that returning to Poland after years of emigration can be difficult. But I hope that you will perceive that it is no longer the same country that you left. If you still have any doubts, we will resolve them today," – Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz told the attendees. "Poland is a country of new opportunities, that has travelled a long road. It is no longer a place that people leave with the aim of finding a better life. We know that there is still a lot of work ahead of us. But I am convinced that with your help we will manage to achieve even more. I warmly invite you to return. I know first hand that it is worth it," the minister added.
"We realise that some Poles have developed themselves overseas and will remain in emigration for good," Deputy Minister Kuberski commented. "But there is also a second group, which is considering returning to the homeland, to their families and friends. Often the decision to return is accompanied by fears about the difficulties of finding work on the labour market in Poland, uncertainty about social security of your families. We want to dispel those fears. Many Poles living abroad do not realise the positive changes that have been made in recent years on the Polish labour market," Kuberski stressed.
