Polish medical beds for $ 1.3 million are going to Hungary

Polish manufacturer of medical equipment Ana-med Sp. z o.o. signed a contract worth 1.3 million dollars for the supply of innovative electric hospital beds to Hungary. Products from Poland will go to 36 Hungarian hospitals thanks to the support of the PAIH Trade Office in Budapest.

According to the head of the PAIH office in Budapest, Marcin Karaskiewicz, an agreement concluded between the Polish producer of hospital beds Ana-med Sp. z o.o and the Hungarian company Vatner Kft. is important for several reasons.

- It's a big contract, worth 1.3 million dollars. It is also a logistic challenge - it involves the implementation of orders for 36 different hospitals in Hungary - says Karaskiewicz, stressing that cooperation is very prestigious. - We managed to convince the Hungarian distributor to trust products from Poland and to establish for the first time the cooperation with a Polish company - explains Karaskiewicz

So far, the Vatner Kft. Distributor has provided hospitals in Hungary with the products from the competitive western companies. One of the key actions undertaken by PAIH for the presentation of the offer of Polish medical equipment producers was the organization of a study mission to Poland for Vatner Kft, which took place in October 2018.

- The PAIH Trade Office in Budapest was the accelerator of our order in Hungary - says Piotr Maślanko, co-owner of Ana-med. - PAIH experts have helped us in negotiations regarding delivery conditions, as well as in translations for Hungarian documents needed for certification - adds the head of Ana-med, which exports medical products, among others to Ukraine, Dubai, Pakistan or China.

In Hungary, a program of modernization and reconstruction of hospitals in the province Pest - together with Budapest, is being implemented. Project will be conducted up to 2024 - The program involves the modernization of hospitals, including equipping them with new medical facilities, and about 200 operating rooms are to be created - explains Marcin Karaskiewicz.

In order to take advantage of the positive situation on medical equipment in Hungary, the PAIH office in Budapest is organizing a stand of Polish products at the Congress of the Hungarian Hospital Association, which will be held in Eger in April this year.
