The value of the South Korean investments currently supported by PAIH totals nearly EUR 1.9 billion. Its approx. EUR 500 million more than the Chinese CAPEX, that it the second largest. Krzysztof Senger points out that the vast majority of the FDIs in the Agency's portfolio concerns electromobility sector. "If all of these investments are implemented, Poland will become the European leader in this industry, with a fully developed ecosystem of producers and sub-suppliers" - he says. Senger adds that almost two thirds of the FDIs in this sector comes from South Korean investors.
In addition, the FDIs from South Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, India and the UAE account for half the value (over EUR 3.7 billion) of all 177 investment projects supported by PAIH at the moment. “We already have more than a dozen trade offices in Asia. Eventually, we will launch about 20 in the region. Their task, in addition to supporting Polish companies, is attracting foreign investors. We hope for even greater interest of Asian companies in Poland, ” Senger concludes.
