Polish-Spanish relations have been gaining momentum in many aspects and a cooperation in a field of public-private partnership is a great interest of Spanish investors - these are the findings of ‘Toward modern and innovative economics - Poland’s investment attractiveness for the Spanish business’ seminar which took place on October 17th in Madrid.

The seminar consisted of two parts: a business breakfast for Polish entrepreneurs interested in the Spanish market and an afternoon conference for Spanish companies considering investing in Poland. The key point of the meeting was the B2B session of Polish and Spanish entrepreneurs. María Luisa Poncela, Secretary of State for Trade in the Ministry of Economy, and Tadeusz Kościński, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economic Development, were present at the conference.

Participants of the meeting stressed that Poland is a very attractive market for Spanish entrepreneurs - many of them chose it as a location for their investment projects. Spanish investors value highly qualified staff and their working style, and see the positive effects of the collaboration between academic world and private sector. Moreover representatives of Spanish business expressed their special interest in investment opportunities in the form of public-private partnership (PPP). The most promising sectors are road infrastructure, energy and tourism, in their opinion.
