Silesia and Zagłębie continue to attract automotive sector

- Polish Trade and Investment Agency is supporting 40 automotive investments projects, and in the last decade it completed 115. This year confirms a high growth in the sector and a need of undertaking joint investment - Krzysztof Senger, vice-president of PAIH argued during “D±browa Górnicza - Direction: Investments. Automotive Investments - Direction: D±browa Górnicza” conference.

4th edition of “D±browa Górnicza - Direction: Investments. Automotive Investments - Direction: D±browa Górnicza” conference was co-organized by Katowice Special Economic Zone and took place on October 12th . The event confirmed a great investment potential of the region and investors’ unfailing interest in the automotive sector. - We have got high qualified employees and an attractive incentives offer - vice-president of PAIH stated. He emphasized that the US, Germany and Japan remain to be the top investors in the sector.

Besides Krzysztof Senger, the meeting was attended by CEO of NGK Ceramics Poland Yasukazu Hijikata, Board President at Silesian Metropolis Kazimierz Karolczak and President of Parts Manufacturers and Distributors Association (SDCM) Alfred Franke. The participants confirmed dynamic development and investment opportunities of the automotive sector in Silesia and Zagłębie region. The experts also underlined that the technical higher education should more often be dualistic – studying should go together with practicing. Thanks to that Polish engineers would be one of the most hunted experts in the sector. The participants, in addition, expressed sceptical views regarding the automatization in the context of the sector’s future.
