Thailand ready to invest in Poland

„Cooperation with Asian partner is one of the key priorities of the Polis Investment and Trade Agency. We have already set three Foreign Offices of the Agency in this part of the world, in: Shanghai, Vietnam and Singapore. Thailand is expected to be our next destination, where we plan to open the office in 2018”, said Tomasz Pisula PAIH president during the meeting with the business delegation from Thailand, on 13 June.
Although, Thailand is associated mostly with an attractive touristic destination in Poland, it is also a fast developing industrial centre with a robust automotive sector, specialised in the production of car parts and accessories.

This economic similarities with Poland make both counties attractive partners for each other in business. PAIH invited business delegation from Thailand that visited the country to discuss those issues during an all-day business networking session in the Agency’s headquarter.

Presentation of the automotive sector in Poland

The meeting was attended by companies from Thailand that came to Poland under the investment mission arranged by PAIH counterpart in Thailand,  TTCW. The business representatives from this country declared their interest in establishing several investment projects in Poland. They were interested in Poland’s investment climate and business opportunities in Polish automotive sector.

Due to that, together with the Polish Automotive Industry Association, the Agency have prepared an presentation about the automotive sector. Also the matchmaking meetings with Mielec and Katowice SEZs have also been set up, in the Agency. (PAIH)
