CHINA CEE Trade and Investment Conference in Ningbo (June 2015)

Poland, as “the guest of honor” of series of trade-investment meetings in Ningbo, was also in the center of attention during the China-CEEC Investment Cooperation Seminar in this city. The gathering, which took place on June 9th 2015, was honored with the presence of the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy Mr  Andrzej Dycha. Wider and more active presence of Chinese investors abroad is one of the aims of economic policy of Chinese administration. The activity on foreign markets is an opportunity to acquire new distribution channels, to get known with the newest technology or the way to improve companies management.

Poland is notably active participant of 16+1 framework, namely the cooperation of CEE countries with China. Since November 2014 in Polish Information and Foreign Investments Agency (PAIiIZ) has been working the Secretariat, which coordinates the cooperation and the exchange of investment information between CEE countries and China. Also in case of Ningbo forum, the Shanghai Office of PAIiIZ, has engaged itself in preparing successful Polish investment offer for Chinese operators.

In forum, which was held in “Sheraton Hotel” in Ningbo, took part more than 200 participants, including delegates of Chinese central administration:  representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, of the China Investment Promotion Agency, authorities of Zhejiang province and delegations from CEE countries. Also a group of Zhejiang firms had strong representation at the meeting.

The Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China highlighted the importance, that the cooperation with CEE countries played for the Chinese administration. The realization of “One Belt, One Road” concept should favor the intensification of trade exchange and investment cooperation.

Later in the forum, investment offers of CEE countries were presented. On behalf of Polish Information and Foreign Investments Agency, Mr Andrzej Juchniewicz, the Director of PAIiIZ Office in Shanghai, presented the profile of the Polish investment climate.

Forum ended with, lasting for over an hour, B2B session.
