Outsourcing Stars

For the second time, the Pro Progressio Foundation has announced the winners of Outsourcing Stars contest, which rewards the fastest growing outsourcing companies as well as cities and organisations supporting the development of this sector in Poland. The awards were presented during a gala held on 28 January in Warsaw. PAIiIZ took the patronage over the event.

The official part of the gala was opened by PAIiIZ president Sławomir Majman, who stressed the huge success of the outsourcing industry in Poland in 2015 and the apparent increase of investors interest in smaller business locations as Rzeszów, Bydgoszcz and Szczecin.

Romek Lubaczewski, PwC expert, noted that the growth of the sector are not only new investments, but also the development of existing shared service centers, which may also affect the success of the industry. Also foreign guests participated in the event, among others: Stephan Fricke - president of the German Outsourcing Association, Marko Kovacevic - Mmmber of the Board of IAOP, Stepan Veselovskyi - president of the Lviv IT Cluster and DK Sareen - managing director of ESC. The scientific community was represented by Wojciech Piotrowicz - lecturer and researcher at the Oxford University, who called for better cooperation of business and government institutions with academic world to promote Polish outsourcing on global universities.

The purpose of the Outsourcing Stars Gala was also to reward the best and the fastest growing outsourcing services providers and business environment institutions. This non-profit industry competition includes 12 categories. The role of the traditional jury was replaced by an objective algorithm.

During the event also an annual report of Pro Porgressio on outsourcing sector in Poland was presented as well as a new module platform Best2Invest ( This is One Stop Shop system for the rapid analysis of the data and creating a shortlist of location for investment and business partners.


In the past 10 years, a share of service projects among all investments supported by PAIiIZ was growing. In 2004, this share was at the level of 5 percent, while for several years it represents nearly 50 percent, in particular in terms of the number of jobs created. Currently PAIiIZ supports 185 projects, of which 76 are potential investments in the BSS sector, which can create 16 thousand jobs. (PAIiIZ / Pro Progressio)
